Hardware Alliance Program

 

For those offices who wish to obtain hardware from a local supplier, Compulink has created an Alliance Program designed to assist your local supplier with our configuration requirements and installation specifications. We work closely with your supplier and confirm their adherence to our quality and standards. This assures a smooth installation process and protects you from experiencing unnecessary problems during your training and on-going system use.

 

Hardware Recommendations

 

Compulink has proven compatibility with the following Network Operating Systems:

 

• Windows 2003 Server (LAN/WAN)

• Windows 2003 SB Server (LAN)

• Windows 2000 Server (LAN/WAN)

• Windows XP Professional

• Windows 2000 Professional

• Compulink Advantage Software has been tested and is compatible with Windows Vista; however Compulink does not recommend an operating system until the release of its first service pack. ONLY Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Ultimate will supported by Compulink.
• Compulink Advantage Software has been tested and is compatible with Citrix Metaframe using Windows Server environments.
• Using Windows 2000 Professional and XP Professional Operating System is required on all workstations. Installation of Windows NT SERVER, Windows Millennium (ME) or Windows 98 is not supported on any workstations! Clients with pre-existing Windows XP Home Edition may use this Operating System as long as it is not used as the Acting Server and a domain environment.

**Compulink is also compatible with other Networks. However, due to our choice for programming language and tools, we prefer one of the above four network environments. Please call your sales representative if you are considering a different network solution.

Minimum Requirements for File Server

• Intel Pentium 4 or higher (processor speed will vary based on availability and office needs)
• Hard Disk Drive (size based on current market availability and office needs, RAID 5 Recommended)
• 512MB RAM (amount of RAM varies based on the number of workstations)
• Windows 2000/2003 Server  - (Windows 2000 Pro. or XP Pro. for Small networks only)

(COMPULINK ADVANTAGE VERSION 8.0 and higher IS NOT SUPPORTED IN WINDOWS 9X)

Front Office / Dispensary Lab
• Dymo Label Printer (for printing chart and mailing labels)
• Scanner
• Laser Printer for correspondence on white paper
• Laser Printer for correspondence on letterhead
• High speed Internet Access for at least one workstation
• 56K External Modem
(for electronic claims and other on-line access features)

Storage Requirements - Server
• Basic System without Medical Records: Assume a minimum average of 100mb hard drive space for every 15,000 patients.
• If using Image Advantage: Average Image size = 284K Compression: JPEG for color and TIF for B/W
• If using Draw Advantage: Average size = 100K to 200K per Gigabit. Compression: TIF
• If using Scan or Document Advantage: Average size = 284K. Compression: TIF for B&W and JEPG for color and Grayscale.
